Ulyana Sergeenko is one of the most underrated style icons on the planet - sure we love the crazy that Anna Della Russo brings to the table, Susie Lau's mixed bag of prints results in some divine looks, and who can ignore Anna Wintours icy but pristine stylings. But Ulyana is up there with the greats, and at only 32 she's not only a superstar in the style stakes and an accomplished fashion photographer, but a phenomenal designer, I've been obsessing over her work for quite some time now (see this post for Fall 2011 and this post for Spring 2012).
For more Ulyana shaped inspiration, check out my Pinterest board that's exclusively dedicated to her!
Sure she's married to the 42nd richest man in Russia (he's worth a cool $2billion), has access to some of the best couturiers in the world, not to mention her own amazing work, but the way in which it's put together is some of the best styling I've ever seen. Echoes of Victoriana, kitsch, classic Hollywood and folkloric silhouettes and prints merge together to form the Ulyana Sergeenko aesthetic, and I've not seen her put a sartorial foot wrong.
Her aesthetic, for me, is the most identifiable to my personal aesthetic, but with the volume turned way up, definitely giving something to aspire to, and, if you're as inspired as I am, here are some pointers to get you going...
