Walmart Holiday Fitting Room: Stolen from Set.

Remember this from a few weeks ago? It's the Walmart Holiday Fitting Room shoot I did with Bethany and Tiara. It was a blast and you can see my full video over at the Walmart Holiday Fitting Room site, alongside some bargainous winter fashions including my absolute fave coat in my segment - a beautiful gray number and some great gift ideas - I've been rocking these fantastic headphones on the bus!

It's funny, when Walmart approached me to participate in this campaign it definitely gave me pause, I hadn't actually ever shopped at a Walmart for fashion, so was it something I was comfortable endorsing? My not having shopped there had very little to do with being against Walmart and a lot more to do with the fact I'm not American, have only lived in the US for 6 years and nowhere near a Walmart for any of that time.

To make my decision I spent some time on their website browsing - I decided if I couldn't find at least 3 things on every page I had no right endorsing it - and lo and behold it really wasn't very hard to get behind - I even purchased a denim shirt there and then that I have lived in.

Anyhow - long story short I'm so happy I participated in the campaign - it was fun and I got some grrrreat goodies. I literally looted the set. I'm not kidding.

Below are some looks I put together with said goodies (and some I ordered post shoot - courtesy of Walmart) and if you'd told me these looks were from Walmart mere months ago I would have been shocked - but not anymore!

I'm a wee bit obsessed with this skirt. The print, the colours, the comfy stretch - it's so on trend for fall it's incredible - and what's more incredible is the fact that it only cost $10. Yup $10.

I paired the look with the Walmart bracelets snatched straight from set - an instant arm party!

This look is definitely more of a run errands - or go for a walk look, but I had to feature this gorgeous wrap cardigan. I love the colours in it, and it's shawl collar is chic and drapey look comfy and flattering. Again - I wore the fun bracelets and a Timex watch I also snagged from set. I love big faced watches and collect vintage Timex watches - well I have three - so it's nice to add a brand new one to the collection!

This is my favourite of all the looks - this blouse is super pretty - the blue is the perfect shade, the lace, right on trend and the open back is sexy in a really subtle way. It's also...you guessed it - bargainous! This adorable little blouse (available here) is only $12.

The cute t-strap shoes and sparkly earrings are Walmart too - stolen right off the model ;)

Tee hee hee. So this sweater is a stolen from set number. When I was told to pick out what I wanted I said I wanted this. They didn't believe me and jokingly threatened to send it to me. I said. I'm. Not. Kidding. I. Want. This. And - when my neat little parcel arrived - it was clear they believed me. So now I'm proving my point.

TJ Maxx - Pack Your Bags!

I don't know if a lot of people realize this, but TJ Maxx, aside from Runway fashion, shoes, handbags, clothing and homewares, sells luggage.

In fact in my experience, it has by far the best selection of good quality, functional, stylish and affordable luggage in the U.S. So when Mr Style and I decided that it was beyond time we replaced our pre-marriage hodge podge set of luggage with something sturdy and fashion forward - it was to TJ Maxx we headed - and thanks to a special treat from HQ - I had a giftcard in tow to make the trip even more affordable.

The selection was pretty immense - and most price points were under $100 - including brand names, Ralph Lauren, Samsonite, Heys and even Diane von Furstenberg!

So what did I ultimately choose? DVF of course. In lieu of going for a three piece set, we opted for matching suitcases in matching sizes. The cases themselves are lightweight, stylish and have a ton of pockets (essential for this overly organised overpacker).The best part was...they were on sale! (yes TJ Maxx has sales) each case was only $54....and came with a ten year warranty, can you believe it?!

Kandee Shoes - A Kandee-land of Mahussive Bargains

Just got word via the old twitter machine that one of my favourite shoe labels, Kandee Shoes, is having a truly mahussive sale! These shoes, in a variety of mouthwatering colours are on sale at £9.90 - that's under $20.... uh amazing. The only pair not under $20 is the simply sensational blue studded t-bars...but are still bargainous at £75 (that's around $130)

I already have the Refresher Wedge (remember I wore them to host Fashion's Night Out here) and I highly recommend them!

Unfortunately there's nothing left in my size in the under $20 category, and as much as I'm dying to get the studded ones...I just can't afford them (especially seen as we've decided to go ahead and adopt Simon the cat - those of you who follow me on Twitter will have seen my tears yesterday)

So hmph. But please, go forth and shop, in the meantime I'll take donations. Shoes and cat food.

50 Under $50: The Little Black Boot

Winter's still here...and it's looks like it's planning on hanging around a little longer - so why not treat yourself with something every girl needs, especially this time of year - the little black boot!
