Continuing right along with our Pantone Fashion Colours for Spring/Summer 2010, violet is a beautiful color for the warmer months. Pantone’s violet is nice and bright and not too saturated, which means it won’t look dated and wintery for Spring. Instead it evokes images of beautiful purple sunsets, pretty spring flowers and dragonflies.
Violet looks great as an accent piece (like on this beautiful brooch or gold and violet earrings) or as the main color on an elegant tea dress. Since it’s such a vibrant color, it’d be best to wear it as an accent or a main piece, but not both.
